Sis, you are a Queen.
The world may try to sell you false ideas about who you are, where you should be in life and what you should look like...please do not buy into it.
The only person that can define who you are is yourself. It may sound obvious, but the truth is sometimes we forget that. Too often we allow other people to damage our self-perception and confidence. Sometimes, we even conform to their standards just to please them. But let me tell you now, that is a no go.
Although it may be hard, you must take a stand. You must work towards being your best self and do things that make you - not others - happy. And this my lovelies, is what you call self-love. There are two types of self-love:
Self-Love: Loving yourself on the outside
Self-love is just as important as breathing. You must be able to look in the mirror and absolutely adore everything about yourself. From your hair type, to your face and even to your elbows, you must be in love with who you are.
Here’s a secret, when you embrace every aspect of yourself you become even prettier. How? Well, because you will feel more comfortable in your skin and thus walk, talk, and feel confident.
Here are some other ways you can practise loving who you are on the outside:
Someone else’s beauty does not mean the absence of your own because you are beautifully and wonderfully made. Besides, there is no other person like you. So, use that to your advantage and shine bright in your uniqueness.
Being healthy and feeling healthy is vital. Try to keep your body active by exercising at least once a week - by the way, search ‘Chloe Ting Workouts’ on YouTube, she will get your body in shape in no time. When you exercise your body and mind become healthier, so it is incredibly important that you take some time out to do so.
You also need to get into the habit of pampering yourself. Try to commit to a skincare routine twice a week or, you could do the girly stuff like painting your toenails. Little acts of self-love like this can really make a big difference.
Self-Love: Loving yourself on the inside
Self-love is also about adoring who you are as a person. By having a good understanding of who you are as an individual, you will not be moved by anything negative that people may say! So, spend time with yourself and challenge yourself. By doing this, you can learn new things about who you are each day.
Here are some more ways to practise loving who you are on the inside:
Everyone has a special gift. It could be writing, singing, painting, or dancing –everyone has something that they are exceptionally good at. By channelling your energy into doing things you love, you will become a happier person!
There maybe things about yourself that you are not so proud of. But please don’t beat yourself up about it. You must remember that nobody is perfect and there is ALWAYS an opportunity for you to work on your inner flaws and grow as an individual. Just take things day by day and soon enough you will see major changes.
You are who you say you are. So, tell yourself you are clever, beautiful, kind, loving, funny and caring every day.
Knowing how to love yourself is essential. Without self-love, you will never be able to reach the best version of yourself. And that is not what we want. We want you to be super comfortable in your skin so you can shine bright and show the world what you have to offer.
Embrace who you are as a person on the inside and outside. Embrace all your flaws because that is what makes you unique, invest more time doing the things you love, be kind and take better care of yourself. When you do these things, you will feel happier, be more confident and find life even more enjoyable.
You are intelligent, beautiful, and talented. Nobody can take that away from you, so love yourself by walking confidently in these things. Most importantly, do not allow other people to affect your self-concept because that’s not what Queens do x
